Meet The Team

We are hiring for a hybrid (Flex Workplace) based Staff Software Development Engineer. In this role, you will be a key contributor to Systems and Solutions Partner Development Team, as well as the larger Dexcom Software and Data Organization. You will work with other Software Engineers to build software for use by key Dexcom partners, as well as DevOps and other technical teams.

Our software quality standards conform to the rigorous requirements of regulatory agencies such as ISO and FDA. Where You Come In

Develop and architect cloud-based software systems as part of a multi-disciplinary team that works with in an Agile methodology environment.Contribute to software across the development lifecycle including software design and architecture, code development, functional and performance testing, and documentation and design verification.Contribute to code reviews and champion best practices for quality control, software testing and code development/deployment in an agile environment.Work with others to develop a good understanding of the design, architecture and coding of existing internally developed applications to be able to maintain and update them.Support QA in diagnosing and resolving bugs during testing.Manage code via GitHub/Bamboo and work tasks within JIRA.Protect the confidentiality and security of client data.

What Makes You Successful

Demonstrated experience and strong ability to code in a general purpose programming language (Java/Kotlin, Python, Go, C++,…)Good knowledge in data structures and algorithms.Proven ability to learn new tools and technology.Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (GCP/AWS) and container-based software deployment and management (Kubernetes/Docker) are preferred.Experience with micro service framework (Spring Boot) is preferred.Experience with front-end frameworks (Angular/React/Vue) is preferred.

Education And Experience Requirements

Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 8-12 years related experience or Masters degree and 5-7 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 2-4 years of experience.

Flex Workplace: Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
