LocationAn office-first employee is an employee within the Greater Omaha Metropolitan Area whose default work location is a designated office and has office presence at least four days per week, specifically, Monday through Thursday. An office-first employee may at times perform work outside of a designated office location based on personal or professional need, at the discretion of their supervisor.DescriptionAs a rapidly expanding franchised company, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President, Operations to play a pivotal role in streamlining our operational processes and ensuring efficient franchise support. This role will manage the deployment of all system initiatives to stores in support of the larger strategic plan. They will balance the demands of Scooters Coffees enterprise goals with the daily needs of the business and stores. The VP will oversee various aspects of franchise operations, franchise training, new store training, operations administration, planning, compliance, vendor management, and process improvement initiatives. This role is instrumental in sustaining and enhancing the growth of our franchise network.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperations Administration LeadershipSets and articulates a clear, concise vision for initiative execution and coordinates deploymentLeads the deployment of all strategic plan programs and System initiatives to stores through a disciplined deployment processLeads the Design and manages the annual Store Execution calendar in support of the Strategic PlanDefines appropriate deployment strategy and schedules use of proper deployment mechanismsExerts significant influence over leadership in the timing/mechanism of program deployment in order to maximize strategic impact at the storesMakes decisions on the prioritization and sequencing of program/initiative deployment that will enhance the probability of ultimate program success at the store levelDrives a consistent approach to program deployment to help mitigate implementation risks and ensure system absorption and understanding of new programs/initiativesBridges the gap between strategic development at HQ and tactical execution at the storesInfluences corporate resources on the strategic design of programs/initiatives where the store managers and/or baristas are the end userDetermines, in conjunction with Executives, whether to move forward with deployment of planned programs/initiativesEnsures communications to the Field are clear, concise, and appropriately timedLeads the development of the Store Profitability performance strategySets and reports on measurable targets for store execution of strategic initiativesTopline responsibility for vendor contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and qualityOversees team responsible for relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure smooth operationsOversees opportunities to optimize operational processes and efficiencyLeads team that monitors and maintains quality standards for product and service deliveryMaintains oversight to reporting systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metricsAnalyzes data to identify trends and areas for improvementDevelops and manages the operations administration budget effectivelyOperations Training LeadershipLead development and execution of all aspects of franchisee training, to include a full course catalog of curriculum for business ownership, operational process, team development and sales growthOversight of team that develops, implements, facilitates, coordinates, and/or delivers franchise level training programs that drive performance and successLeadership of team responsible for execution of all field-based, store level trainingLead the strategy of the learning roadmap that enables new franchisee success from day 1 throughout their tenure with the Scooters Coffee systemLead development of a process for measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of programs through various assessment methods (i.e., testing, evaluations, etc.)Leverage the Scooterversity (Learning Management System) as a vehicle to provide targeted learning paths based on identified needs of franchiseesCollaborate with functional areas throughout the company including finance, legal, real estate and construction, operations, and human resources on training content and best practicesTeam & Relationship LeadershipMaintains relationships with Franchisees, Company Leadership, and Store Managers from which to keep a pulse on the enterprise and to understand franchisee operational needs and challengesIs a contributing member of the Operating Systems Team (COO, Operations, Training, Innovation, Supply Chain, IT)Educates teams on how their work impacts other design teams and the storesTeam provides guidance and support to franchisees regarding day-to-day operations, compliance, and best practicesFosters a collaborative and productive team cultureDevelops trusted relationships internally and externallyActively supports the mission, core values and goals of Scooters CoffeeManages and mentors a high-performing team of professionalsFosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the departmentQualificationsBachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field; MBA preferred10 + years proven experience in operations within a franchised or multi-location retail environment5+ years team leadership experienceExperience in a restaurant/QSR brand strongly preferredExperience in a brand with 500+ locationsBroad vision and understanding of objectives of the Strategic Plan and how individual stakeholders contribute to successDemonstrated experience influencing others to act in the best interest of the broader brandStrong understanding of franchise operations, compliance, and qualityExceptional leadership and team management skillsAbility to lead and facilitate changeExcellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in data analysis and reporting toolsStrong organizational and project management skillsFamiliarity with emerging trends and technologies in operations managementCurrently lives in Omaha, NE or immediately relocatable to OmahaDisclaimerThe functions and skills described here are general in nature and represent the type of work performed, but they do not constitute an exhaustive list of the duties and responsibilities performed on the job.
