We have an opening for a Human Capital Management Data and Integration Engineer. LLNL is modernizing its core Human Resources (HR) platform migrating from PeopleSoft to Oracle HCM Cloud. As an HCM Data and Integration Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining complex data integration solutions between Oracle HCM Cloud, external vendors, and various business applications. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure seamless data flow between various HR and workforce management tools, enabling data-driven decision-making and enhancing the overall efficiency of HR processes. This position is in the Enterprise Application Services (EAS) Division in the Computing Directorate, supporting the LivIT (CIO) Program.

This role demands a combination of technical expertise, data management skills, and a deep understanding of HCM.

A hybrid telecommuting schedule is supported. This schedule will be determined by the needs of the project. You may be asked to be onsite more frequently in some circumstances.In this role, you will:

Design, develop, and maintain data integration pipelines connecting various HCM systems, including but not limited to HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems), Payroll, Time and Attendance, and Talent Management software.Utilize integration tools and platforms (e.g., APIs, ETL processes, middleware) to facilitate data movement between systems while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.Implement data transformation processes to harmonize and standardize data from multiple sources, ensuring consistency and quality for reporting and analytics purposes.Work on data cleansing, enrichment, and normalization techniques to improve data quality.Create and maintain data models that reflect the structure of HCM data, allowing for efficient querying and analysis.Optimize data storage and retrieval strategies for performance and scalability.Implement data security measures to protect sensitive employee information, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA).Monitor and audit data access and usage to maintain data governance standards.Troubleshooting and Support:

Diagnose and resolve data integration issues, addressing system errors, data inconsistencies, and performance bottlenecks. Provide support to end-users and collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve integration-related problems.Maintain comprehensive documentation for integration processes, data mappings, and system configurations.Develop and promote best practices for data integration and management within the organization.Stay up to date with the latest developments in HCM technology and integration methodologies, proposing and implementing improvements to existing systems.Qualifications

Ability to obtain and maintain a US DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.Advanced experience with API and Web Services, such as, REST, SOAP, FTP, and Database.Expertise in various integration design patterns (App driven, Scheduled, File transfer, Publish and Subscriber).Advanced experience in data engineering and integrations with Oracle HCM Cloud.Advanced experience in programming languages like Python, Java, or SQL for data manipulation and scripting.Significant experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools and data integration platforms such as Denodo.Advanced experience in data modeling and database design principles.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data integration issues.Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices.Advanced verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment and present and explain technical information to both technical and functional teams and provide advice to management.Qualifications We Desire

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Management Information Systems.Experience with Oracle Cloud tools like Oracle Visual Builder and/or Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).Familiarity with AWS and its tools.Experience with Atlassian tools suite, such as, JIRA and Confluence.Experience with Scrum in an agile development environment.Oracle certifications related to HCM Cloud implementation and/or development.Additional Information
