Job Summary / Purpose:

As the Sr. Data Analyst for Data Engineering, your primary responsibility is to support the The Key Data Lake and ensure that data is accurate and available for reporting, analytics, and other stakeholders. You will analyze the raw source data using SQL queries and then work as part of a team to develop structures that make the data easier for reporting and analytics users to understand and leverage.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Troubleshoot data related issues in Tableau reportsFind and resolve data quality problemsAd-hoc data pulls for export to internal and external partnersPerform data discovery on new sources data being brought into data lakeDesign and create new views and tables in BigQueryCreate data dictionaries and other documentationMonitor nightly batch jobs which load analytics tablesAdditional duties as assigned by your supervisor

Required Skills, Education and Certifications:

Self driven individual with good problem solving skillsBachelor's or Master’s degree in Comp Sci, MIS, Data Science or equivalent experienceStrong in data analysis with ability to relate data to business processesUnderstanding of data privacy concerns such as PII, HIPA and GDPRKnowledge of data architecture and ability to design relational tables and star schemas5+ years SQL scripting with advanced SQL skills including DML

Preferred Skills, Education and Certifications:

Minimum of 1 year experience with Google Cloud Platform BigQuery database3+ years database and/or data pipeline development experienceExperience with Google Cloud Data Fusion ETL tool preferredExperience with sFTP, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and Freshdesk tools a plus

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 15-20 poundsAbility to sit, stand and walk for prolonged period of time throughout the work dayAbility to use standard office equipment
