About The Position
Altruist is entering an exciting phase, and we're looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team.
What You’ll DoPrepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses supporting the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for various accounts (i.e., accrued compensation, commissions, stock-based compensation, etc.)Prepare intercompany journal entries and consolidation and reconcile domestic subsidiary accountsSupport the consolidation and reporting processes to ensure elimination of intercompany balances and investments in subsidiariesMonitor and update intercompany methodology and expense sharing arrangements as neededSupport automation initiatives of intercompany processes and other corporate accounting initiativesIdentify areas for improvement on internal processes and controls and develop efficiencies within consolidation, intercompany, and expense allocation processes in preparation for SOX complianceConduct variance analyses and provide observations, potential errors, and opportunities for additional follow upSupport annual external audit processes and functionsAssist in ad-hoc requestsWhat You’ll BringBachelor’s degree in accounting or related field5+ years of experience in corporate accounting function, preferably with 3+ years of “Big 4” accounting experienceDeep understanding of consolidation, intercompany journal entries and elimination accounting and compliance within US GAAP accountingStrong proficiency in G-Suite, Excel, Word, and other Microsoft office productsDetail-oriented and possess effective project management skills and a strong ownership mindsetAbility to operate in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple responsibilities in a deadline-driven and results-oriented environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsPropensity to challenge the “old” ways of doing things and enjoy changing the status quo to optimize process and drive continuous improvement in yourself and within your functionActive CPA (preferred)Los Angeles, CA salary range
