The Accounting Manager has overall responsibility for General Accounting, Accounts Payable (AP) and employee expense reimbursement activities. This position supervises the Staff Accountant and the Accounts Payable Specialist positions. This position prepares financial statements, provides financial analysis, is responsible for forecasting and target setting and develops and maintains efficient and compliant financial processes.Accountabilities:Monthly financial reporting and analysisMonth-end close processesIncome and other taxesDeveloping and maintaining efficient and compliant financial processesAssuring compliance to Generally Accepted Accounting Practices and internal policies and proceduresExternal audit obligationsFixed assetsAccounts PayableBalance Sheet reconciliationsCash disbursements (suppliers and employees)Payroll accountingFinancial forecasting and target setting – revenue, expense, cash flowRequired Skills and Competencies:BS or BA degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance required (Master’s degree preferred)CPA required (additional certification, e.g. CMA, a plus)A minimum of 7 years of finance and management experienceStrong expertise in Generally Accepted Accounting PracticesStrong technical skills including financial system, ERP and ExcelExperience in supporting external financial auditsKnowledge of income tax filing requirementsAbility to communicate effectively with business management, partner representatives, various external parties and all levels of the organizationThe estimated annual base salary for this position is $115,000 to $120,000. Please note that this range does not include any other compensation or benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, level of education attained, and/or professional certifications, years of relevant experience, special skills, etc.
