A law firm based in Princeton, NJ, is actively seeking a seasoned Labor and Employment Career Attorney. This role is ideal for an attorney with substantial experience in employment litigation, particularly in defending employers against discrimination, harassment, retaliation claims, and ERISA litigation. The position requires an attorney who effectively balances occasional in-office activities with courtroom and deposition appearances.Duties:Defend employers in litigation involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and ERISA-related disputes.Manage all phases of litigation from inception through resolution, including discovery, motions, trial preparation, and trial.Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings and before administrative agencies.Draft and review pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.Conduct and defend depositions and participate in mediation and settlement negotiations.Provide corporate clients with strategic legal advice and compliance counseling on labor and employment law matters.Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case developments and litigation strategy.Requirements:Must possess 3-6 years of direct experience in employment litigation, with specific expertise defending employers.Experience with ERISA litigation is highly valued.Licensed to practice in the United States, with a preference for licenses in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and/or New York.Must demonstrate a strong academic background and a proven track record in employment litigation in agencies and courts.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Occasional in-office presence is required for team meetings, depositions, and court appearances.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active bar membership in good standing in at least one of the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or New York. Dual licensure is considered an asset.Skills:Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication skills, capable of handling complex negotiations and advising clients.Proficient in legal software and technology relevant to litigation practices.Strong interpersonal skills to foster client and team relationships.This role provides a dynamic and challenging environment for a proactive attorney looking to advance their career in labor and employment law.
