Work location is subject to change based on business needs.Summary of the Job:

The BU Portfolio Manager is responsible for maintaining a prioritized segment technology roadmap and backlog, which aligns to the Business Unit Strategy, while helping drive new Ideas into technology with clearly defined value statements and measures of success. This business portfolio manager role has responsibility for providing leadership and coordination for the business customer segment portfolio of work. The individual in this role will oversee the function of IT portfolio management for the aligned portfolio in the Business Customer Segment. This role also aligns the roadmaps of teams from across the segment into the segment roadmap for the segment, as well as in alignment with IT priorities. Help the business articulate the problem statement, objectives, measures of success, benefits and overall need while helping to highlight overlap within other segments. They will partner with a Principal Architect and VP of IT or Technology Leader to groom the portfolio, align work to strategic imperatives, develop roadmaps and build out a collaborative LOB and IT strategy. The position will have responsibility for orchestrating how we work across the business segment, measuring and communicating IT value and driving execution of the portfolio’s strategic imperatives. This position has a high level of influence in the prioritization of technology investments. The individual in this role is expected to have strong business-oriented mindset and some technology skills. This role will be an individual contributor to start but may develop over time to manage a team.About This Role:

Creates plans for and delivers technical strategies or roadmaps ensuring alignment between the business and IT prioritiesPartners with Principal Architect and VP of Technology to manage portfolio of workAccountable to drive focus within the IT organization around the business imperativesIdentifies and resolves dependencies related to technology within the segment, being clear with prioritiesHigh level collaboration with cross functional teams and removes delivery roadblocksBusiness lead or escalation pointPartners with IT PMO on portfolio standards and best practicesPartner to define the reporting metrics used to determine effectiveness of the technology deliveryMaintains and facilitates the Portfolio team schedule and meetings, which includes meeting materials and minutes, and communicates meeting outcomesApplies project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniquesThe Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Qualifications & Education

Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent work experienceExperience

12 or more years’ experience in business/industry and ITA minimum of 3 to 5 years of leadership responsibilities or other equivalent experienceExperience in managing cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholdersKnowledge and Skills

Strong leadership capability, executing as appropriate in the areas of responsibilityExcellent collaboration and facilitation skillsBroad knowledge of current and emerging technologies, technology directions, and strategic application to business needsExcellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade othersThis role requires the ability to grasp and understand IT acumen (if the candidate is not already familiar)Proficiency in conflict resolution and problem-solving techniquesDesired Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics
