NoDuties and Responsibilities:Reporting to the Assistant Vice President (AVP), the Associate Director of Financial Aid will be a key member of the leadership team providing oversight of customer service and training support to the entire financial aid team. This role may directly manage up to five FTEs including one Sr. Assistant Director and three Assistant Directors. This role will work in direct support of the AVP and the Director of Financial Aid Operations and Reporting to ensure the Financial Aid Office remains in compliance with state, HEA, and Title IV regulations. This position will lead office trainings and ensure institutional policies are met and updated annually. This position will also support the AVP with audit support and review.Minimum Education and/or Work Experience:Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent; or four to seven years related experience and/or training. A solid knowledge of federal and state regulations is essential.Qualifications:The Associate Director supports all aspects of federal, state, and institutional aid programs for students at Loyola University Chicago with strict compliance to all regulations.Supports the AVP and other Associate Directors in formulating and evaluating policies and procedures for the distribution of financial aid.Acts as a source of functional support; performs preliminary troubleshooting and analysis of issues.Coordinates new staff training and ongoing training and compliance review.Provides direct support for the AVP on compliance reviews.Ensures high-level customer service is provided to students and parents.Monitors daily/weekly office phone records and student walk-in volume.Provides guidance and review of R2T4 and SAP processes for compliance.Supports students through the financial aid process.Provides leadership to direct and indirect reports including evaluations and performance management.Responds to student and parent inquiries.Participates in implementations and upgrades as needed.Supports the AVP on internal and external audit reviews.Works closely with other Associate Directors on staff trainings and workshops.Serves as a resource for questions regarding regulations, professional judgement, and verification.Master's degree preferred; 6-10 years of experience in a financial aid office preferred; previous supervisory experience preferred.Performs other duties as required.Certificates/Credentials/Licenses:

Proficiency with Department of Education databases; COD, NSLDS, FAA Access, SAIG. PeopleSoft experience highly preferred.Supervisory Responsibilities:
