Position Overview

The Accounting Manager is responsible for all accounting and related compliance activities in Ceribell.

What You'll Do

Lead the finance team in the month/quarter/year end close processTake ownership of accounting close for areas of functional responsibility, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliationsAct as the key point of contact with our internal and external auditorsTake lead on monthly revenue reconciliation processPerform monthly analysis of account balances and expenses versus budgetsPerform quarterly flux analysis of the balance sheet and income statementsBecome a thought leader on technical accounting matters along with drafting of technical accounting memos and process flow chartsManage key financial systems and assist with system implementation projectsIdentify and design any financial controls needed and ensure internal controls operate effectivelySubmission of monthly sales tax to various state government agenciesDevelop and perform procedures to ensure SOX compliancePrepare accounting schedules and analysis routinely, and as requested, for internal and external reporting and audit requirementsTeam up with cross-functional teams to implement accounting process improvementsEstablish rapport with other team members, build effective relationships, and share wins and successesComplete ad hoc projects and support accounting operations as necessaryWhat We're Looking For

Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a public company or as an auditor (Big 4 experience a plus)Experience dealing with IPO or public company clientsPreferably with CPA or working towards CPA designation or equivalent certificationAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionBachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or its equivalentStrong understanding of financial accounting principles (US GAAP)Ability to work independently with strong analytical skills and attention to detailAbility to apply policies and standards consistentlyAble to meet deadlinesExperience with ERP systems a plusApplication Deadline: Ongoing
