Regional Director of Sales

SUMMARY
Assists in overseeing property Director of Sales and/or General Manager/AGM to increase revenues at area properties and assist in training property GM/AGM.
Qualifications for position:
Must have at least 5 years hospitality experience.
Must have full-service hotel experience, including Food & Beverage experience.
Able to travel 90% of the time.
Experience with Delphi FDC, and/or Delphi Standard Sales Systems.
Multi brand experience preferred, but not required.
Hoteligence/Agency 360 experience preferred, but not required.
Prior management of a sales team preferred, but not required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Travel to designated hotel to increase sales efforts and oversee area hotels.
Work with Corporate Director of Sales on schedule.
Work with regional sales team on all properties, growing revenues and posting all activities for properties in a recap to Basecamp when relevant.
Regularly plan travel and sales and marketing activities for individual property visits and communicate with individual General Managers and Director of Operations.
Plan, document, and post weekly schedule via Basecamp & share calendar with corporate sales staff.
Train new and existing General Managers and/or property sales representatives and provide support and sales assistance.
Perform outside sales calls individually on selected accounts and new business sources.
Assist with new property ramp-up where necessary.
Conduct Sales Audits when appropriate.
Prepare regular and special reports as may be required by the Corporate Director of Sales and Director of Operations.
Promptly respond to all inquiries from customers.
Ensure credit and deposit policies are adhered to.
Complete expense vouchers as outlined by corporate travel department and hotel accountant.
Develop special promotional packages and programs as assigned.
Ensure a positive public relations image with local communities.
KHC POLICIES:
Responsible for following all KHC policies and procedures as set forth in the KHC handbook and property specific guidelines/standards.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises 1-4 employees in the Sales Department. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; monitoring and appraising work performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college and 3-5 years experience; or bachelor's degree and one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general accounting reports, policies & procedures, and instructions. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to understand, interpret and utilize accounting concepts.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
