Job Description

The COTA Event Operations team is in search of a highly motivated, organized, and most importantly, enthusiastic individual who is interested in working within the heart of the live entertainment industry of Central Texas. As an Event Operations Crew Member, you can expect to develop your operations and project management skills, as well as gain valuable real-world experience in the live entertainment industry. Working within the core Events & Hospitality team, this opportunity exposes the Event Operations Crew to the key functions of racing and live entertainment.

Essential FunctionsImplement setup and strike standards for all meetings and events, in tandem with the Event Services team.Ensure daily checklist is completed.Ensure all events are set according to details outlined in event order and set according to COTA standards.Ensure all Event Ops service procedures are delivered according to COTA standards.Maintenance and cleanliness of event spaces and equipment at all times.Interaction with guests during or after events, ensuring satisfaction.Answer customer questions and accommodate special requests.Performs all other duties as assigned.Requirements

Must have a Valid Texas Driver's License (or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire).Must have reliable transportation.Must be able to multi-task and follow strict timelines.Comfortable being active for extended periods.Ability to operate or train to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, or scissor lifts.Specialized Qualifications

Event day hours, with the ability to work long days, nights, weekends, and holidays.Problem-solving and communication skills.Ability to organize assigned work, set time frames, prioritize and meet goals.Ability to establish priorities and manage time effectively.Confidence when working with both internal and external contacts.Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Must possess a quality teamwork attitude.Effectively work in a professional team environment.Physical Demands

Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds of weight.Ability to stand and walk 90% of the workday on a very large campus with both indoor and outdoor space.Work Environment

Events may be in an outdoor setting with movement between temporary structures, buildings, and different terrains.The noise level in the work environment is moderate however, during events, the noise level may be loud.While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.

Salary Description

$20.00 / hour
