SummaryEMR USA has an opening for an Account Executive. The Account Executive will be responsible for developing, securing and maintaining customer accounts. To be successful, the Account Executive must understand the metals market, the recycling industry and how that affects our customers. Ultimately, an outstanding Account Executive has a keen sense of business, is a team player and possesses a strong work ethic.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Secures new name accounts.Maintains existing accounts.Handles all correspondence with customers and salespeople dealing with inquiries and quotations.Educates customers so they understand what we do and how we are contributing to their success.Maintains up-to-date customer records.Submits weekly activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities for proposals and problems concerning customer relationships.Manages their accounts to ensure a mutually satisfactory relationship for both EMR and our customers.Establishes professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate key customer personnel.Attends and participates in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows.Collects information from customers and industry sources on competitors and competitive conditions in the field.Represents EMR at trade association and other public relations activities.Maintains knowledge of industry developments to ensure services meet and exceed customer requirements.Required Skills / Abilities

Willingness to work in the yard for metal and operational training, minimum 8-12 months and ongoing.Willingness to travel to meet and develop customer base.Able to do independent market research.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to communicate technical information in a business manner.Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Excellent problem-solving skills.Working knowledge of computers (Microsoft Word, Excel) and good keyboard skills.Strong customer service skills; Self-Directed; Demonstrated initiative.Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience.2 years experience in industrial sales or customer service.Other Job DemandsWhile performing the essential functions of this job, the Account Executive will be working in an office environment. However, may be required to frequently travel through production environments. The employee may be near moving mechanical parts and will be exposed to all weather conditions. The noise level in the environment can be loud and will require ear protection. The Account Executive will be required to operate a computer and other office devices such as telephones, copy machines, etc. The employee is required to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. This job also requires frequent bending, kneeling, and standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in confined spaces.
