Position: Sales Manager, Individual TravelThe Sales Manager, Individual Travel, is a business travel/leisure travel sales person who has demonstrated through performance a thorough understanding and competence in sales, account management functions, and the hotel/business travel industry. Responsibilities include:Selling guest rooms and Hyatt services to transient market customers through corporate accounts, travel agencies, individual travel, and wholesale groups.Managing current accounts and ensuring proper solicitation of all transient markets.Preparing and presenting effective proposals and presentations.Maintaining well-organized documentation and reports.Utilizing Hyatt technology systems and coordinating customer service requirements with hotel operations staff as appropriate.Participating and possibly leading event meetings, sales, and other staff meetings.Working as a team member with the sales and catering staff and with assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff.

QualificationsA true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.Refined verbal and written communication skills.A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred.Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, hotelligence, rfp express, lanyon, and salesforce.com.Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training.Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing, and presentation skills training.Community involvement and/or professional association is highly regarded.
