Job SummaryThe key account manager is responsible for handling the most important client accounts in a company. These accounts make up the highest percentage of company income, and the key account manager must build and maintain a strong relationship with the client. They will be the lead point of contact for all key client matters, anticipate the client’s needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for the client are met, and help the client succeed.General AccountabilitiesDeveloping a solid and trusting relationship between major home improvement channel customers and companyResolving key client issues and complaintsDeveloping a complete understanding of key account needsAnticipating key account changes and improvementsManaging communications between key clients and internal teamsManaging account team assigned to each clientStrategic planning to improve client resultsEstablishing and overseeing internal budgets with the company and external budgets with the clientWorking with design, sales team, creative, advertising, logistics, managers, marketing, and team members from other departments dedicated to the same client account to ensure the highest quality of materials are being produced and all client needs metCollaborating with the sales team to maximize profit by up-selling or cross-sellingPlanning and presenting reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members, stakeholders, and possible use in future case studies or company trainingMeeting all client needs and deliverables according to proposed timelinesAnalyzing client data to provide customer relationship managementJob QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degreeMBA PreferredExperience: minimum 3 to 5 years of similar experience in an account leadership rolePreferred direct selling to a merchantRequires to be within 60 miles of Charlotte, NCSkillsAble to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficientlyGoal-oriented, organized team playerEncouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and leadSelf-motivated and self-directedExcellent interpersonal relationship skillsIn-depth understanding of company key clients and their position in the industryEager to expand the company with new sales, clients, and territoriesAble to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutionsBachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or relevant field; Master’s degree preferredThree to four years’ previous work experience in sales, management, key account management, or relevant experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-personBasic computer skills, and experience with CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on superior Excel skills.Strong negotiation skills, with ability follow-through on client contractsAbility to multitask and manage more than one client accountProven results of delivering client solutions and meeting sales goalsCompany DescriptionGalanz is a leading global home appliances manufacturer of a range of products, including toaster ovens, microwave ovens, blenders, refrigerators, and more.
