in vivo

team within the Research Department at our San Diego site. The successful candidate will be joining a team dedicated to discovering, developing and translating novel drug targets.ResponsibilitiesPerform in vivo studies and ex vivo analysis to facilitate drug discovery and development in various diseasesEstablish new preclinical animal disease modelsPerform animal behavior studies as neededCoordinate processes across departments and with outside vendors to enable efficient study execution and data generationRead and apply relevant scientific literature to projects to troubleshoot and solve problemsPresent research findings to project teams and prepare technical reportsMaintain a high level of productivity in the lab and perform critical experimentsRequirements:BS and/or MS in biology related fieldExtensive experience with small animal handlingExperience with sample collection / tissue collectionExcellent record keeping and experience in data analysis, graphing and presentationAbility to work independently and to handle multiple projects and deadlinesDemonstrated innovation, creativity and resilience in problem solvingExcellent oral and written communication skillsSelf-motivated team player with the ability to thrive in a fast paced, multi-disciplinary, matrixed environmentPreferred:Experience with CNS surgeries and/or drug administration locally in CNSExperiences with animal dose administration and surgical proceduresPreclinical disease model development in the context of drug discoverySalary: $65,000 — $80,000 USDArrowhead provides competitive salaries and an excellent benefit package.All applicants must have authorization to work in the US for a company.
