AI Machine Learning Scientist

is in charge of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) scientific and statistical methods to assist with product creation, development, and improvement. You will be expected to lead, implement, and define the Data Science and GenAI capabilities. The role also involves developing a strategy for model development, as well as designing and developing ML/NLP/LLM/GAI models and solutions in collaboration with a wide range of partners across data, technology, and business teams.How You Will Make An Impact:Develop experimental and analytic plans for machine learning algorithms and data modeling processes, use of strong baselines, and ability to accurately determine cause and effect relations.Spearhead initiatives for the development of ML, NLP, and LLM models, mentor junior team members, and shape the strategic direction of our ML and data science endeavors.Play a pivotal role in guiding the strategic direction for ML, NLP, LLM, and algorithm development within a world-class AI ML team, working closely with well-renowned experts in AI/ML modeling, ML engineering, data science, and data engineering.Defining roadmaps for AI/ML model development, and will be a crucial leader in AI-driven transformation to generate value both internally and for our customers.Responsible for the design and development of custom ML, Gen AI, NLP, LLM Models for batch and stream processing-based AI ML pipelines including data ingestion, preprocessing modules, search and retrieval, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), NLP/LLM model development and ensure the end-to-end solution meets all technical and business requirements, and SLA specifications.Work closely with the MLOps team to create and maintain robust evaluation solutions and tools to evaluate model performance, accuracy, consistency, reliability, during development, and UAT.Collaborate closely with product teams, business stakeholders, MLOps, machine learning engineers, and software engineers to ensure smooth integration of machine learning models into production systems.Minimum Requirements:Requires a Bachelor's degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent degree and 4 or more years of experience; or any combination of education and experience in configuration management, which would provide an equivalent background.Preferred Skills, Capabilities & Experiences:4+ years' of professional hands-on experience leveraging large sets of structured and unstructured data to develop data-driven tactical and strategic analytics and insights using ML, NLP, and computer vision solutions.Demonstrated 4+ years' hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Model (LLM), TensorFlow/Pyspark/ or Keras is highly preferred.4+ years experience with implementing information search and retrieval at scale, using a range of solutions ranging from keyword search to semantic search using embeddings.Experience with GCP/AWS cloud platforms.Strong knowledge of and measurable hands-on experience with developing or tuning Large Language Models (LLM) and Generative AI (GAI).Strong familiarity with higher level trends in LLMs and open-source platforms.Experience developing and optimizing high-quality prompts for NLP applications.Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding initiatives, technical and business goals and related tasks.Experience in creating reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business goals and outcomes.4 or more years' project leadership experience including Agile project management, Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFE).Healthcare industry experience preferred.
