In addition to a portfolio of discovery-stage ADCs, our pipeline includes AL102, a gamma secretase inhibitor which is currently in a Phase 3 trial for treatment of desmoid tumors, as well as IM-1021, a ROR1 ADC, and IM-3050, a FAP-targeted radioligand, both of which are the subject of INDs expected to be submitted in the first quarter of 2025.

Position Overview

The Director of Research Project Management will play a crucial role in supporting our research teams to ensure the successful execution of research projects. This role requires a highly organized individual with a strong scientific background and exceptional project management skills. The successful candidate will work closely with research scientists, cross-functional teams, and external collaborators to drive projects from inception through completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Project and Program Management and is essential in fostering a culture of scientific excellence and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution

Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.

Oversee the execution of research projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Implement project management best practices and methodologies.

Ability to oversee multiple projects, collaborations and vendors/agencies.

Team Coordination

Coordinate cross-functional project teams, including research scientists, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and external partners.

Facilitate regular team meetings to track progress, address issues, and ensure alignment with project goals.

Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.

Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding project status and updates.

Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to senior leadership and other stakeholders.

Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts that may arise during project execution.

Risk Management

Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Budget and Resource Management

Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Monitor project expenses and adjust budgets as necessary.

Secure and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.

Lead budget process for research Project Management.

Documentation and Compliance

Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Maintain detailed records of project activities, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and action items.

Ensure projects adhere to industry standards and regulatory guidelines.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

Develop and implement metrics to evaluate project performance.

Prepare and present regular reports on project status, performance, and outcomes to senior leadership.

Use data-driven insights to recommend strategic adjustments.

Requirements:

Education:

Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacology, or a related field preferred; advanced degree (MBA, MS) with relevant experience will also be considered.

Professional Experience : Minimum of 7 years of experience in research or research project management within the pharmaceutical or biologic industries. Additional experience in early/late-stage development considered. Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects. Team leadership considered, but not required.

Knowledge and Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Smart Sheet, Asana, Trello).

Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and biologic research and development process.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., FDA, EMA).

Experience with data analysis and performance measurement techniques.

High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
