DO-CA-OP-Educ-Asses Cur EvalFull Time80457BRJob SummaryThe Student Records Specialist is responsible for tracking the academic progress of 600+ medical students to ensure they progress towards the competency milestones for each of the three curricular phases of the UCSF Bridges curriculum. The Student Records Specialist works with teams across the School of Medicine to collect, organize, and manage medical student enrollment, academic performance, and licensure records. The Student Records Specialist reports directly to the Student Records and Enrollment Team Lead and partners with the Clinical Enrollment Specialist, the Manager of Student Progress and three Associate Deans to meet the goals of the Student Progress unit.Specific responsibilities include:Independently reviews and analyzes student enrollment and progress issues, develops solutions, and communicates solutions to departmental faculty, staff, and school leadership.Abides by School of Medicine policies and procedures for enrollment and student tracking and collaborates with other staff and faculty across multiple teams in the School of Medicine to plan and implement efforts for continuous improvement and adoption of new tools and systems in this domain.In partnership with the Associate Dean of Assessment, Improvement and Accreditation, serves as project manager for the Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) for senior medical students based on enrollment information, academic data, and student and program contributions.Manages large sets of medical student data and generates student transcripts, enrollment verification, and licensure documentation, while ensuring accuracy in all systems, tools, and generated reports.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. UCSF BenefitsDepartment DescriptionThe Assessment, Curriculum and Evaluations (ACE) Unit is the administrative team in the School of Medicine, Dean's Office, Medical Education that operationalizes and directs the design of the MD curriculum, student assessment and program evaluation. Working closely with faculty and SOM Medical Education Deans, the ACE consists of several subunits that manage the day-to-day operation of curriculum design, implementation, delivery and learner support. The teams in ACE design, conduct, promote, evaluate, and support medical education programs in compliance with organizational objectives and nationally accepted accreditation standards and requirements. The ACE teams support learners in areas such as curriculum, teaching and learning activities, scheduling, core competencies, assessment, and evaluations. The ACE team coordinates all activities associated with ongoing administration of medical education programs.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training3+ years of directly relevant experience.Thorough knowledge of relevant policies and regulatory requirements. Solid knowledge of health professions education program requirements. Thorough knowledge of health professions education industry.Thorough knowledge of administrative analysis and operations research. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement processes and systems. Thorough knowledge of the administrative and operational implications in a program.Demonstrated experience and documented excellence in oral and written communications skills; includes active listening and critical thinking.Strong interpersonal skills.
