Litigation Attorney

Alexandria office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a civil and commercial litigation attorney, preferably with 5 years of direct civil and commercial litigation experience. The candidate will work on all aspects of client matters involving dispute resolution from direct client interaction and communications, including representing the client as second-chair in Circuit Court and Appellate level cases and lead counsel in General District Court matters.Responsibilities include:Independently manage and perform complex civil litigation procedures from client intake to closing matters.Conduct transactional work to meet the client’s needs.Work closely and support Partners’ cases and legal projects.Represent clients in a wide range of litigation needs.Attend, lead, and assist in court appearances and depositions.Proactively communicate and update clients on case progress and actions.Meet with new clients to assess, draft, and complete their legal needs.Coordinate and assist in all aspects of litigation through trial and completion of the case.Ensure timely entry of time and billing details daily and in line with the firm best practices.Work with the Firm Administrator and the Managing Partner to support the goals of the firm and the partners.Ensure all actions are in support of the Virginia Bar and other applicable bars and legal best practices.Qualifications:Must have current Virginia Bar Membership in good standing.5 years of successfully litigating civil cases in Virginia courts is required.Demonstrating an advanced understanding of the civil court system is required.Should have demonstrated a strong understanding of real estate and commercial law.Demonstrate knowledge of legal processes and local court requirements, including trial and appellate court systems, is needed.DC Bar Membership is preferred; Maryland Bar Membership is desired.Clio software experience is a plus; should preferably have NetDocuments software experience.Company infoBCG Attorney Search1629 K ST NW, Suite 300WashingtonDistrict of ColumbiaUnited States 20006Phone:
