Associate Director, Business Development
will be responsible for leading the business development effort to establish new biologics contract manufacturing partnerships globally and setting and achieving revenue growth targets. The holder of this role will be part of the business/site leadership team and, working with the VP, Enzymes & BioProduction, will be responsible for driving the commercial strategy for the business.Key ResponsibilitiesLeading the development and execution of the BioPharma CDMO growth plan, with the objective to achieve annual sales targets through the closing of new business.Responsible for building and growing a healthy opportunity pipeline through targeted business development and marketing activities.Manage Business Development Manager and grow the BD team as required.Making contact with prospective customers and partners, presenting BioProduction by SEKISUI capabilities, building prospective customer relationships, and raising brand awareness and recognition within the market.Work closely with project management and study leaders to assess project compatibility and generate proposals and associated pricing, win new clients, and ensure customer satisfaction on the delivered services.Facilitates negotiation of customer contracts (MSA, SOW, CDAs, etc.) in collaboration with the legal team.Motivate and guide CDMO project teams.Work with the Marketing team to develop appropriate marketing and marketing communications strategy to raise awareness of BioProduction by SEKISUI capabilities among target customers and partners.Drive commercial strategy, working with VP, Enzymes & BioProduction, including sourcing market research and gathering market intelligence.Education, Experience, Knowledge & SkillsScience Degree in a relevant subject.Significant experience working in a commercial role for a similar (ideally direct competitor) BioPharma CMO / CDMO and solid understanding of the biopharmaceutical and CDMO industries.Ability to travel up to 60%.Proven track record in securing significant contract manufacturing business opportunities and working cross-functionally to deliver successful projects.High level of technical and commercial sophistication.Good organizational skills with the ability to establish priorities and set goals.Proven ability to negotiate and navigate contracts (MSA, SOW, CDAs, etc.).Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Strong negotiation, analytical, and financial skills.Must have a personal commitment to success with a high level of integrity.Strong initiative and self-motivated.Sekisui Diagnostics offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.As an equal opportunity employer, Sekisui Diagnostics is committed to a diverse workforce.
