The team’s core mission is to improve the work day for Higher Education administrators and faculty through greater technical capability, while empowering students on their educational journeys. We are looking for creative, delivery-focused, and skilled machine learning and software engineers to help on a range of these challenges.As a Machine Learning Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tackle significant problems, developing and delivering global critical enterprise software using your expertise in design, coding, algorithms, and complexity analysis. Your primary focus will be to:Own exploration, design, and execution of machine learning models.Build tools, technologies, and platforms for productizing Machine Learning models in business-critical Enterprise software.Analyze complex data requirements and design data models that meet organizational needs.Work closely with product managers and machine learning engineers to take services from inception to production.Find creative solutions that move projects forward.Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software improvements.Take initiative, exhibit creative thinking, and have the determination to turn data into real-life insights.Mentor and guide other engineers.Work in an Agile environment focused on collaboration and teamwork.Apply data integration, validation, and transformation techniques to ensure data quality and consistency.Design and develop data pipelines to process and transform raw data efficiently from various sources.About YouBasic Qualifications5+ years of experience with OO design and development in an object-oriented language such as Java, Python, C#, C++, etc.5+ years of experience with production software development lifecycle methodologies.4+ years of experience with applied Machine Learning.Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience.Other QualificationsStrong foundation in data engineering concepts, including data modeling, database design, ETL processes, and data warehousing.Proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark, with a focus on applying these to data engineering tasks.Proficiency with technologies like SnowFlake and Databricks.Familiarity with code repository and project tools such as GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence.Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift, Sagemaker.Strong communication ability to liaise with various partners, including data scientists, business analysts, and executives, to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Workday Pay Transparency StatementThe annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
