Director of Product Marketing

with business acumen and leadership skills to champion the commercial success of Equelle and ensure successful launches of our future product pipeline. The role requires developing a deep understanding of our product’s existing customers and prospects and the competitive market landscape in order to develop, implement, and evolve effective marketing strategies that achieve brand growth and profitability goals. Responsibilities Product Performance Measurement and Active Monitoring:

Accountable for the present performance and future evolution of the Equelle brand. Actively monitor and report brand and product performance dashboards and KPIs to identify areas of opportunity and areas of improvement to leadership (US and Japan). Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Leadership:

Lead and mentor a high-performance team of marketing professionals fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Lead cross-functionally across a variety of stakeholders such as operations, customer success, finance, retention, HCP and more to support our brand marketing priorities and initiatives. Brand Positioning and Messaging:

Responsible for the targeting and positioning strategy and manage research and copy vendors to create jobs to be done, brand/product positioning and messaging. Closely collaborate with growth, lifecycle, website and CS teams to support brand and product marketing initiatives. Product Claim Evolution and New Products:

Closely collaborate with Operations, Science and R&D teams to evolve product claims and innovations program. Conduct market research and competitive intelligence and develop positioning, messaging and updated product playbooks for product enhancements (i.e. new claims). Marketing Enablement and Content:

Create and socialize integrated product campaign concepts and align timeline and efforts across teams. Actively source messaging feedback from growth, lifecycle, website, and CS teams to update brand book and positioning and messaging strategy to improve effectiveness. Develop and oversee organic content strategy and creation including social media, website content, HCP content. Oversee the development and execution of healthcare provider marketing strategies to support brand adoption among HCPs, inclusive of messaging platform, educational resources, activation campaigns, etc. Manage team who executes marketing initiatives such as conferences, webinars, digital advertising, e-mail marketing, and other initiatives to create awareness and recommendations from HCPs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred. 10 years of hands-on product/brand marketing experience within consumer goods, dietary supplements, CPG. Experience in D2C is a must and experience in subscription business is a plus. Experience creating, evolving, socializing, and implementing product positioning and messaging. Proven experience growing established products and launching new ones. Excellent operational and day-to-day project management skills. Strong analytical skills - ability to synthesize data to support strategic planning and effectively interpret and communicate data to and from stakeholders of all levels. Scientific literacy – confident reading, understanding, and interpreting clinical studies and technical medical information. Experience effectively leading direct reports and cross-functional teams and managing external vendors. Excellent written and verbal communication skills – including excellent presentation skills. Knowledge of and experience successfully navigating the medical, legal and regulatory review process pertaining to dietary supplements and healthcare marketing a plus. Strong interest in women's health and a belief in Equelle's mission. Location and Work Model Our team is operating in a hybrid work model and this role will have the flexibility to work remotely part of the time and in our physical office in La Jolla two days a week (Wed-Thurs). There is a strong preference for a San Diego based candidate willing to meet this hybrid requirement.
