AVP, Cyber, North American Claims Group (24000043)Job Summary:
Investigate, evaluate, and resolve claims made against the Company’s cyber liability insurance policies. Engage in collaborative projects in support of other areas of the company, including underwriting, finance and accounting, actuarial, operations, and technology. Provide superior service to all customers, whether internal or external.Job Duties:Efficiently manage a vigorous load of cyber liability claims. Promptly analyze coverage, draft accurate and timely coverage positions, and manage litigation by effectively interacting with insureds, brokers, defense counsel, and other parties as required. Establish timely and appropriate reserves and regularly report claim developments and trends to claims and underwriting management. Represent Company in the resolution of claims and participate in legal proceedings, including mediations.Manage response for cyber incidents, which includes verifying coverage, assigning breach consultants, forensic vendors, and public relation vendors as necessary.Work with other areas of the Company including underwriting, finance and accounting, actuarial, operations, and technology on projects as requested. Prepare claim summaries and other reports as necessary for management.Meet with existing or prospective clients and brokers. Attend relevant industry conferences/meetings.Qualifications:Job Requirements:A minimum of 7 years’ experience handling cyber liability insurance claims or related legal experience. Four-year college degree is required, but law degree is preferred. Substantial knowledge of underlying professional liability claims, cyber/technology claims, and coverage issues may be substituted for direct cyber liability claims experience. Excellent negotiation, analytical and communication skills, including technical writing experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office products, internet research, and typing.Ability to accurately and timely analyze coverage and instruct and collaborate with counsel regarding litigation strategy, claim resolution, and resolve claims and otherwise act within the scope of delegated authority.Special Responsibilities:Work requires the ability to quickly and accurately read, comprehend, analyze and produce written materials and to use a computer for long periods of time.
