Horizons for Homeless Children (Horizons) is a local non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of young children experiencing homelessness in Massachusetts and helping their families succeed by providing high-quality early education, opportunities for play, and comprehensive family support services.Summary of Position:

The Family Partnerships Program (FPP) Director is responsible for leading a dynamic and committed team composed of 7 Family Advocates and an FPP Operations Manager. The Director provides vision and leadership to the team, ensuring that services are provided in a trauma-informed manner and with fidelity to the Mobility Mentoring model.Responsibilities:Lead talent management of the FPP team, including hiring, supervising, and providing leadership to individual Family Advocates and the team.Build on the strengths of the existing team by listening actively, incorporating the team’s feedback, facilitating effective meetings, and communicating clear expectations.Provide regular supervision to Family Advocates, supporting ongoing development of skills necessary for Mobility Mentoring and trauma-informed practice.Create a team environment that allows members to process and mitigate the impact of secondary trauma, including opportunities for self-care.Collaborate with Admissions and Early Education team leaders to ensure consistent and seamless high-quality service delivery for families.In partnership with the Chief Program Officer (CPO), develop clear and specific performance goals for the program.Provide Family Advocates with the support, training, and coaching they need to ensure that the program’s performance goals are met.In collaboration with the CPO, utilize data to tell the story of FPP’s work, identify patterns and gaps, improve services, and demonstrate program efficacy.Oversee the development and implementation of Community Activities for parents, including workshops, classes, parent groups, and community building activities.Act as staff advisor to the Horizons Parent Council.Serve as a member of the Horizons Operating Council.Starting salary range, compensation, and benefits:$85,000 – $95,000 is the starting salary range for our Operating Council level roles with a 4% premium uplift for Bilingual English/Spanish or Haitian Creole.Your total compensation package includes the following benefits:Health coverage options designed to be as comprehensive and affordable for you as possible, with Horizons covering between 74 - 78% of premiums and the first 92.5% of deductibles.Generous paid time off that begins with a total of 5 weeks; 3 weeks of accrued PTO, 1 week of sick time, and 1 week of winter break.Equitable investment in your retirement savings through a non-elective employer contribution.Visit

for more details on the rest of our benefits package.Qualifications:Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree required, master's degree in social work or related field strongly preferred.A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a leadership role within human/social services settings serving families affected by homelessness, poverty, and trauma.Previous experience implementing Mobility Mentoring strongly preferred.Demonstrated success in providing reflective supervision that emphasizes staff strengths; addresses the impact of human services work on direct service staff; and nurtures professional development.Experience facilitating engaging meetings, groups, trainings, and activities with adults.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Bilingual in English and Spanish or Haitian Creole a plus.Ability to develop and implement a vision that inspires staff to perform at the highest level.Commitment to operationalizing the values of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB).Understanding of the Mobility Mentoring coaching model and its key components.Ability to build a strong culture of support and collaboration, both within and across teams.Creativity and openness to new ideas within a “test-and-learn” culture.Proven commitment to operational excellence.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of organization and attention to detail.Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
