Manage and lead FTP process and equipment development team to develop hard disk media burnish processes for next generation of ePMR and HAMR products.Provide leadership in designing, carrying out, and analyzing DOE’s to investigate and optimize process variables and materials for hard disk yield and reliability.Collaborate across multiple functional teams, including process engineering, product engineering, manufacturing, failure analysis, and material analysis groups.Work with overseas manufacturing sites to transfer new process implementation, and to ensure the success of the process in the factories for high yield, low defects, and good performance.Investigate and find root causes of FTP-related failures.Develop process materials through close collaboration with material vendors.Develop metrology for FTP process, and friction measurements.Lead equipment engineers to improve existing process tools for next generation media processes.Explore opportunities for new technologies to improve process performance.Be able to work in a cleaning room environment.Qualifications

Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.5+ years’ experience in a leadership role in Semiconductor or Hard Disk Media Industries in Process Development, including 5+ years' people management experience.Strong experience and knowledge in device fabrication such as polishing, grinding, and lapping is desirable.Capable of solving complex process issues; data analysis skills in process development and improvement.Demonstrated project management skills to meet deadlines.Hands-on experience and advanced knowledge in process standardization and statistical process control.Experience with running and analyzing DOE’s; proficiency with JMP is helpful.Understanding of surface characterization techniques such as laser scanning, AFM, SEM, etc.Great communication skills, both verbal and written.Additional Information
