TEACHING PROFESSIONAL FOR BIOLOGY , College of Arts & Sciences, BiologyBoston University Department of Biology seeks a Teaching Professional to join our team. We seek a broadly trained biologist to teach and coordinate our Introductory Biology Lab sequence. In addition to teaching lab sections, the Teaching Professional will coordinate and supervise the graduate Teaching Fellows (TFs) and undergraduate Learning Assistants (LAs) and run weekly prep sessions in partnership with other course staff. This person will prepare appropriate instructional materials for the labs, revise the laboratory curriculum and manual, and assist undergraduate students in these large (500+ students) courses. A willingness to learn, or a strong knowledge in, trends in biology lab curriculum development is desired, as this person will design and test potential new laboratory exercises in close consultation with the Director.This is a full-time position with laboratory teaching and administrative responsibilities. About the CandidateA Master's degree is required, and a Ph.D. is preferred.
