What We DoThe Marketing and Communications team at Mapbox is responsible for shaping the company's public image and promoting its cutting-edge location technology solutions. Through building strategic campaigns, high-quality content, and excellent documentation, the team effectively communicates Mapbox value to customers, prospects, developers, partners, and stakeholders. Our goal is to highlight product features, share customer success stories, and build brand awareness, showcasing Mapbox as the leading location technology company.
What You'll DoWe are looking for a creative, data-driven marketer to join Mapbox as our lead Product Marketing Manager for our Navigation portfolio focused on helping us create compelling messaging and drive product adoption. You'll help execute growth and marketing strategies to grow overall product adoption for our Navigation business across multiple industries globally. You have a passion for understanding customers and representing their voice in product discussions, knowledge of product strategy and positioning, and experience with high growth products.
Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of product launches and Go-to-Market strategies.Lead strategic initiatives and programs to drive product adoption and help existing customers get more value out of Mapbox products and APIs.Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, design, sales, support, etc. to launch new products and features, delivering value-based messaging and collateral that communicates the value of new or enhanced functionality.Lead marketing campaigns, improve campaign performance through messaging, continuous testing, and measure the performance of product marketing initiatives.Work with product teams to develop product positioning, value propositions, and messaging to be used in marketing campaigns and backed by customer research.Deliver enablement materials to sales and customer engagement teams so they are prepared to help drive product adoption.Produce excellent content to drive outcome — such as blog posts, webinars, guides, training, and best practice articles.Work proactively to deepen your understanding of the navigation space, our key industries like automotive and logistics — and most importantly our customers using Mapbox products.Be the trusted voice of sellers by surfacing insights to shape the product direction and marketing messaging.
What We Believe Are Important Traits For This Role8+ years of experience driving Product Marketing. You are experienced in building go-to-market strategy, executing marketing campaigns by email, social, content marketing, ads, and other channels. Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.Customer focus. You care deeply about your customers, their problems and work tirelessly to innovate and advocate on their behalf.An analytical approach. You have strong analytical skills and use data to properly evaluate the success or failure of features and drive key learnings.Technical curiosity. Ability to develop and execute a plan based on high level direction for product growth goals.Strong written and vocal communication skills. You deliver clearly written customer FAQs, blog posts, and various marketing content. You drive a culture of quality on the teams you work with and know how to drive healthy tension between quality and velocity.Strengthen others. Our annual base compensation for this role ranges from $147,900 - $200,100 for most US locations and 5% to 10% higher for US locations with a higher cost of labor. Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location.
