A Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is responsible for ensuring developed code is thoroughly and accurately tested before release to production. As a member of the Integrations Team, the QA Engineer contributes to the continued development of CSS’ data exchange. The ideal candidate will work with Engineers, Tech Leads, Business Analysts, and other QA Engineers to ensure deliverables are timely and meet expectations. This role will require individuals to coordinate with other team members to resolve identified bugs. The ideal candidate has a great attention to detail and is consistent about follow-through.Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned.Design, develop and execute manual and automation scripts using open-source tools.Prepare test plans, test cases and documentation for new interfaces within a sprint.Ensure test documentation is appropriate for presentation to Change Control. Ensure to the best of your ability that critical features will work in PROD.Work to consistently improve testing efficiency - including evaluating testing library, test patient set up, and identifying automation opportunities.Perform end to end data flow validation for a variety of Healthcare Standards.Troubleshoot and identify root cause of issues.Formulate well documented descriptions of issues requiring code modifications and help to coordinate resolution of issues.Qualifications

Customer Service focused.Strong understanding and knowledge of Healthcare standards such as HL7 V2 messages, HL7 CCDA, HL7 FHIR, and IHE ITI transactions.Ability to evaluate and solve complex problems and issues.Ability to work with many different stakeholders and subject matter experts from different backgrounds (clinical, business, technical).Take pride in delivering quality data that meets the client and end-user’s needs.Knowledge of network connectivity and security principles (VPN, whitelisting, certificates, etc.), required.Education and/or Experience

Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or information systems, preferred.Experience with Javascript, XML, Mirth Connect, HL7 Interfaces, and FHIR resources, required.2 to 4 years of Healthcare Integrations experience, required.Healthcare IT experience, required.
