A law firm in Pembroke Pines, FL, seeks an experienced and motivated Immigration Attorney to join its dynamic team. This role involves managing a diverse and fast-paced caseload, leading a team of paralegals, and representing clients in various immigration matters. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent business acumen, and a passion for helping clients navigate complex immigration issues.Key Responsibilities:
Meet with potential new clients to assess and evaluate their immigration needs.Coordinate case strategies and legal approaches tailored to individual client circumstances.Manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines and project milestones are met.Supervise and train paralegals and other support staff, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to legal standards.Prepare, review, and revise court documents, including petitions, briefs, motions, and memoranda.Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and client representation.Stay informed on legislative changes and judicial decisions that may impact immigration law.Market the law firm’s services to potential clients and engage in business development activities.Work one Saturday each month, with the potential for bonuses for new clients signed during these days.Cross-sell the law firm’s various practice areas to existing and potential clients.Represent clients in court hearings and trials, advocating in complex immigration matters.Become an expert on Family Petitions, Asylum, Individual Hearings, SIJIS, U-Visas, Waivers, and related immigration areas.Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum of 1+ years of experience in immigration law.Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Licensure:
Active Bar License in good standing from any U.S. state or Puerto Rico.Language Proficiency:
Fluent in Spanish.Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload and handle day-to-day interactions with potential clients.Exceptional organizational skills and project management abilities.Proficiency in supervising and leading a team.Business acumen with a desire to work in a high-volume, high-growth practice.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
