Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Accounting Specialist is to ensure the day-to-day accounting tasks are accurate and completed in a timely manner. The Accounting Specialist will be the primary liaison to parents and vendors.
Essential Job Functions
Accounts Receivable (invoicing, collections, payment plans, deposits)
Manage collection process, ensuring A/R agings stay within assigned thresholds
Accounts Payable (audit bills, credit card reconciliation)
Tuition Management (invoice, refunds, payment plans, etc for 1,000+ students)
Cash Receipts (process, prepare and make deposits)
Financial Aid (oversee submittals, assign awards)
Donor letters and receipts
Oversee processing of daily mail
Manage Payment Link process for all departments
Prepare tax receipts as needed
Accounting administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED
4+ years bookkeeping experience
4+ years Quickbooks experience,
preferably
QBO experience
Equivalent combination of education and work experience which demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above-described essential job functions
Skills and Abilities
High level of attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite
Ability to learn new computer software systems
Able to work both independently and in a team setting
Ability to 10-key with speed and accuracy

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Required to use the computer throughout the day
Frequently communicates with parents and colleagues
Work will be performed from the campus
May occasionally have to lift up to 20-pounds
Work is generally performed
Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm
This position will occasionally require you to work nights, weekends and overnights (for trips/events). As much advance notice as possible will be provided.

Pay Grid Range:
$76,813 to $93,634
This position is paid based on a preset salary grid, and the actual salary will be determined by applicable education and experience as determined by the Human Resources department. The starting pay listed reflects this position's minimum experience and education requirements. The top pay range represents the top of the pay grid for this position. It is rare for a candidate to enter this position at the top of the pay grid. Most candidates can expect to enter in the lower to middle section of the pay grid, depending on experience and education.
