About Our ClientMy client is an all-inclusive General Contractor headquartered in the Greater St. Louis area. They are looking for a growth-minded Project Estimator. They have been around for over 40 years and have had consistent growth with a project backlog for the next 2-3 years. Due to this growth, they're looking to add multiple Estimators and Project Managers to the team. They pride themselves on making sure their staff feels fully supported. This group offers excellent flexibility (option to be hybrid), a fun & collaborative team environment, and competitive base salaries with great benefits through the carpenter's union.Job DescriptionEstimate from both concept designs and complete designsAssist design team with budgetary pricing at various stages in design developmentCompletion of all aspects of project bidding including plan and specification takeoff, vendor contact and tracking, bid form completion, pricing, bid review and submissionScope and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers for accuracy and completenessAssist with the development, updating and implementation of an estimating database with assembliesAssist or lead the process of implementation of estimating program software systemMaintain a cost history databaseReview estimates with design team and/or construction teamInteract with clients and design team as needed to evaluate conceptual and detailed estimatesAssist Project Manager with project budget set up once projects are awardedThe Successful ApplicantBachelor's degree required (construction related degree preferred)5+ years of experience in conceptual and/or hard bid estimatingExperience on design/build commercial projects $10M+ is preferredHands-on construction experienceWhat's on OfferBonus earning potential based on project completionWork from home flexibilityUnion Benefits401k matchPhone allowance
