The Private Dining (Events and Sales) Manager focuses on private dining reservations, storewide buyouts and partner events at an Eataly location. Reports to the General Manager of Restaurants.
Generates events sales by scouting new business and maintaining relationships with existing clientsServes as the point of contact for clients to plan events, develop contracts, detail events, and help the restaurant and store teams to execute events • Works with all event vendors including: florists, rental company, securityPartners with the Eataly operations team (Culinary, Front of House, Retail and Quick Service) on event preparationMeets with clients for additional walk-throughs to finalize event detailsProcesses all catering requests in collaboration with the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) teamManages all catering events from start to finish; books, plans and executes functionsCreates proposals, contracts and event orders, as well as packages tailored to each client's requestsRecaps events and provides operation, sales and production suggestions to the teamMaintains fiscal responsibility in terms of rentals, supplies and laborManages day-to-day catering requests and works closely with the QSR team to ensure proper execution of catering ordersMaintains industry knowledge including principles and practices within cateringPerforms other duties as required or assignedQualifications
5+ years of experience in events sales2+ years of experience in event planning and/or production2+ years of experience in restaurant private events • Excellent attention to detailThe yearly compensation for this role is $75k -$80k + commission.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environmentAvailability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekendsAvailability to occasionally attend workshops, tradeshows and conventionsAdditional Information
