Eataly's bustling marketplaces feature a rich variety of unique, high-quality Italian and local products. The Market Manager oversees the Grocery and Housewares departments. Reports to the Store Operations Manager; manages the Grocery, Housewares, and Cashier team members.

Organizes and directs the store's Grocery and Housewares departments to maximize profitability while upholding the company's mission, values, policies, quality and guest experience standardsManages the Grocery and Housewares teams: hires, schedules, trains, motivates, submits payroll, evaluatesCreates the monthly promotion grid and designs the layout and promotional spots in the store with saleable merchandise according to Eataly's policiesMaintains an orderly store aesthetic: ensures that only saleable merchandise is placed on the grocery shelves and promptly handles deleted, expired or otherwise non-saleable merchandiseMonitors stock levels and orders or requisitions supplies and merchandise as neededProcesses delivery orders, unloads stock trucks from distribution centers, and generates monthly reportsCommunicates and coordinates with the Marketing and Facilities departments on updates or issues with the overall layout of product and fixtures in the storeAnalyzes financial data and develops strategies to increase efficiencies and drive salesPerforms other duties as required or assignedQualifications

Bachelor's Degree3+ years of retail management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communications skillsSolid analytical skillsExperience purchasing and managing inventoryKnowledge of Italian products and brandsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft OfficeJob Requirements

Availability to work a flexible schedule sometimes including evenings, weekends and holidaysAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squattingAbility to operate equipment such as a hand truck or cash register as neededCompensation:

This position pays a salary of $70k - $80k.
