Discover this great opportunity in our San Diego, CA location.As the Advanced Training Administrator, you will provide On the Job Training instruction on TACNET and other Navy C4ISR systems, network and system administration. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors.In this role, you will:Serve as Subject Matter Expert for the following: CANES, ADNS, CENTRIX-MME, SCI-N, SubLAN, ISNSProvide OJT instruction on TACNET operations, maintenance, and repair.Report design, reliability, and maintenance problems to program management.Support new system installations, integrations, and upgrades.Install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair products/equipment.Establish testing protocols and standards, providing training and guidance to engineers and technicians.Test interoperability of systems, measures transmission/outputs, troubleshoots and resolves issues, and maintains detailed evaluation and repair reports.Provide innovative solutions to complex functional problems that impact function's success.Lead tasks, including planning, execution, staff oversight, and status reporting for significant initiatives.Lead and direct the work of others.A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:An Active Secret ClearanceUS CitizenshipAbility to obtain and maintain a CAC (Common Access Card).Ability to successfully pass a drug/background screening.A High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional related experience
A Bachelor's Degree will be considered in lieu of A High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional related experience
7 years of experience (Professional training experience, to include: establishing training needs, developing goals and objectives, developing training programs, and applying the instructional system development (ISD) process is highly preferred)Hands-on experience with Navy Shipboard Networks to include CANES, or other TACNET systems.Experience in three (3) of the following four (4) areas:
Network AdministrationSystem AdministrationTechnical DocumentationTraining
Demonstrated expertise in C4I Networks and System Administration.Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and repair TACNET systems as an individual and in team situations.Ability to assess and respond to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem equipment.Ability to promptly respond to telephone and email requests for technical support.Ability to travel up to 10% as necessary.If you are interested in supporting and working with our military and a passionate Serco team- then submit your application now for immediate consideration.
