• Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern time (8:00 PM to 5:00 AM PHT) with a 1 hour unpaid break, 40 hours a week
Job Description:
This position is responsible for assisting with the administrative activities related to a weekly payroll process, maintaining accurate information in our HRIS system, processing department mailings, and maintaining and organizing department files.
Responsibilities:• Process and organize incoming documents from state agencies including employee verifications, wage garnishments, and tax notices
• Assist in maintaining employee timecards to support accurate weekly payroll via Paylocity
• Answer employee questions regarding payroll inquiries and effectively handle all issues in a confidential and timely manner
• Process weekly reimbursement checks for U.S. employees in Paylocity
• Administer state unemployment insurance by reviewing initial claims reports and responding to unemployment claims
• Audit new hire profiles in Paylocity to confirm setup in system is correct, including employee status and position, benefits class, schedule, attendance policy, email address, etc.
• Conduct audits and run reports in the payroll system as needed
• Assist with year-end tasks including annual audits, W-2, ACA, 1095-C, etc.
• Remain current with the payroll processing system as well as changes in wage and tax laws to ensure compliance with applicable legal, state, and federal regulations
• Apply a continuous improvement philosophy to processes to improve administration, reduce costs, and increase efficiencies
• Organize and maintain Human Resources files, documents, and other administrative duties as needed
• Assist in executing department projects as assigned
Requirements
• 1+ years of experience in a Human Resources or Administrative role
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to maintain a professional demeanor
• High degree of integrity and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing sensitive data
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Resourceful self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar field
• 1+ years of experience with Paylocity HRIS
