Salary: $90,000 - 120,000/yearWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in federal IT contracting, billing processes, and be proficient in using Costpoint. This role involves managing the general ledger, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting various accounting functions.Responsibilities

General Ledger Management:

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts. Prepare and post journal entries, and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions in compliance with federal regulations and company policies.Billing and Invoicing:

Manage billing processes for federal contracts, including preparing and submitting invoices in accordance with contract terms and government guidelines. Ensure timely and accurate invoicing to support cash flow and project funding.Costpoint Expertise:

Utilize Deltek Costpoint for accounting functions including cost tracking, financial reporting, and contract management. Perform system maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure data integrity and efficient operation.Financial Reporting:

Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and schedules. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure compliance with federal accounting regulations, contract requirements, and company policies. Maintain accurate documentation to support financial transactions and audit requirements.Cost Analysis:

Monitor and analyze project costs, including direct and indirect expenses. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize cost management and improve financial performance.Audit Support:

Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Address audit findings and implement recommendations for process improvements.Process Improvement:

Identify areas for process improvement within the accounting function. Implement best practices and contribute to the development of more efficient accounting procedures.Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or other relevant certifications are a plus.Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a strong background in federal IT contracting and billing. Proven experience with Deltek Costpoint and general ledger management is required.Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint and Microsoft Excel.Strong understanding of federal contracting and billing processes.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.$90,000 - $120,000 a year#J-18808-Ljbffr
