This position manages implementation of the University’s sustainability projects, plans, and certifications (including UWM’s Climate Action Plan,
STARS , etc.), data management and reporting (utilities), and operations (waste reduction, recycling, reuse, and surplus). Additionally, this position serves as a sustainability liaison, collaborating with UW System,
UWM , and
FPM
leaders to manage and lead institutional sustainability efforts while fostering a campus culture of sustainability among students, faculty and staff. The Director will collaborate closely with the
FPM
Departments of Campus Planning, Facility Services, and Transportation Services to ensure sustainability initiatives are incorporated into planning, design, renovations, construction, and transportation services, whenever possible.
Work will be performed primarily on the UW-Milwaukee campus, with requests for remote work considered after the initial training period. Hybrid work options may be available with specifics regarding work location requirements discussed during the interview process.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higherMinimum of 6 months supervisory experience of a sustainability program/department (including direct reports)Experience in managing environmental resources and issuesExperience in budget management and resource alignmentExperience working collaboratively to build purposeful partnershipsProficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office programs and experience to design and maintain presentations and the

$90,000 per year to $100,000 per year.
