Business Development Director
Position Reports to : Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer
Position Location:
San Jose, CA
Our company's next-generation solid-state lithium-metal battery technology is designed to enable greater energy density, faster charging and enhanced safety to support the transition away from legacy energy sources toward a lower carbon future.
Under the direction of the Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, you will work directly with customers to help put this technology on the road.
What you will do:
Developing and executing a comprehensive sales and partnership strategy for the energy storage market, including identifying target customers, segments, and regionsBuilding and maintaining a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities and closing deals to meet and exceed targetsDevelop deal structures and support negotiating contracts and agreements with customers and partners, ensuring alignment with company objectives and value propositionEstablishing and enhancing the company's brand awareness and reputationWork cross-functionally to understand details of the internal technical status and direction with various technical teams across QuantumScape which will require in person discussionCollaborate and maintain relationships with company leadership to formulate and execute a go-to-market strategyMinimum Requirements:
B.S. in Technical or Business Field and a minimum of 12 years' industryExperience in a customer-facing role establishing and building meaningful relationships with new perspective customersStrong attention to detailStrong technical and business acumenPreference to candidates with experience in energy storage and/or clean energyThis role will require international travelAny of the following are a strong plus!
M.B.A.Fluency in written & spoken German and/or Japanese
This position is required to perform these above essential duties and responsibilities onsite at our QS offices.
Compensation & Benefits : Salary range for this role is between $195,000- $275,000, a final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background. QuantumScape also offers an annual bonus and a generous RSU/Equity package as part of its compensation plan. In addition, we do offer a tremendous benefits plan including employee paid health care, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and other exciting perks.
