This role will lead our Quality Assurance process improvement, ingredient suppliers & co-manufacturer Quality and support the new product commercialization process at SunMaid. The role will work closely and co-lead with the SunMaid Plant Quality Assurance manager for all 3rd part, customer, and Regulatory audits. This individual will support product and process start-up activities and provide problem-solving assistance as required. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively are crucial for success in this role. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, influential, confident, assertive, and a team player.

Scope of Responsibilities

• Lead FSQ Continuous improvement, process improvement, and special projects.

• Execute Plant Trial Runs

• Master FSQ-related Commercialization processes including Technical Risk Assessments, First Production Approvals, and establish Finished Goods Quality Standards for new product development.

• Manage Co-manufacturer, Supplier, License, and External warehouse relationship.

• Co-lead 3rd party, Regulatory, and customer audits with the plant FSQ Manager.

• Be a subject matter expert for Incoming ingredients

• Develop/Refine Quality programs, Create SSOP, and conduct employee Training.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's Degree preferable in Food Science, Food Microbiology or another relevant field.Minimum 5 years of experience in Food Manufacturing and involvement in audits is requiredPrevious experience and involvement with First production approval and commercialization of new product is preferred.FSMA-compliant PCQI and HACCP certification; Better Process Control School Certification; FSVP Certification, familiarity with GFSI audits and regulatory inspections.Ability to build a strong rapport with co-manufacturers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.Strong written and oral communication skills.Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management.Experience in project management, leading multiple projects simultaneously.Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and procedures in the food industry.Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel.Exceptional attention to detail.Experience in communicating with regulatory agencies is preferred.Ability to travel up to 20%

Salary Description

$80,000-$95,000
