Join a leading staffing agency in the job placement industry, where we are currently seeking a General Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager for our client in Enid, OK. This role involves the daily management of all activities within the FSQA department, ensuring adherence to food safety programs and product quality for the assigned facility. The General FSQA Manager will also oversee special projects, departmental budgets, turnover, and safety, requiring experience in the Food Industry.

This position primarily operates on the 1st shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but flexibility to work across other shifts (1st/2nd) is essential as food safety responsibilities span all shifts.Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Daily oversight of production practices, including raw material receiving, sanitation, finished product quality, and adherence to Tyson FSQA policies.Monitoring verification and documentation related to government regulations.Developing, implementing, and maintaining HACCP, PCQI, SOP, GMP, and SSOP based programs.Ensuring finished products meet customer specifications.Reporting product issues and audit results to relevant stakeholders.Interacting with customers for product showings, plant tours, and audits.Investigating quality-related customer complaints and initial product runs.Monitoring microbiological results and conducting bacterial swabs.Performing research and development activities.Implementing and maintaining food safety and quality programs, including training and managing FSQA Supervisors and Technicians.Facilitating Food Safety and Foreign Material teams at the plant.Completing internal, regulatory, and customer audits.Managing Hold Release inventories at the plant level in SAP.Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in food safety, animal science, natural science, or a related technical field, or equivalent job experience.Minimum of 5 years of industry experience, with 8+ years preferred. Experience with USDA regulated products is required; SAP experience is a plus.Proficient in standard computer skills, including spreadsheet generation and template development.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.Strong problem identification and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.HACCP Certified, GFSI Certified, and PCQI Certified are preferred.Direct supervisory experience for a minimum of 3 years, with 5+ years preferred.Occasional travel, approximately 2-5 trips per year.Must attach a resume to be considered for this position; applicants without a resume will not be considered.Must reside in the United States to be considered; sponsorship is not available for this position.Employment Type: Full-Time
