Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems. May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.

Business Systems Analyst plays leadership role in areas of documentation and data control, Quality systems, Engineering Change Management, ERP and Manufacturing Execution System.KNOWLEDGEDeveloping professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Determines a course of action based on guidelines and modifies processes and methods as required.JOB COMPLEXITYWorks on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment to determine appropriate action. Applies learned techniques and contributes to analysis and investigation to solve problems. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.COLLABORATION & INTERACTIONBuilds productive internal/external working relationships to resolve mutual problems by collaborating on procedure or transactions. Focuses on providing standard professional advice and creating initial reports/ analyzes for review by experienced team professionals.EXPERIENCETypically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Analyzes, designs and implements new systems and enhancements.Addresses functional problems from initial investigation through design, coding and implementation.Develop and maintain software solutions for complex business issues.Coordinate, guide and document user requirements for systems to be developed or modified.Analyze, query SQL database to solve production related help desk ticket requests related to MES application support.Responsible for project planning, including scope, tasks, deliverables, milestones and documentationUncover needs that clients would not be able to articulate on their ownOrganize, prioritize, analyze and verify requirementsSuccessfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneouslyWork independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managersBe the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teamsProvides help desk support

REQUIRED:Typically requires a bachelors degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.Maintains system protocols by writing and updating documentation and flowcharts.Ability to troubleshoot a wide variety of computer and software related problems.DESIRED:Experience in applications development, implementation, and maintenance in a manufacturing or engineering environment; SQL database skills (SQL2000, 2005 & 2008)Experience basic SQL scriptingExperience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Management StudioCritically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.Have some manufacturing process support role experience.Familiar with bar coding software, labeling and scanning systems.PHYSICAL DEMANDS :The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
