The Test Engineer applies survey and GIS knowledge to the design and quality
assessment of Trimble's office software flagship for the geomatics industry. This professional uses analytical skills to solve and test solutions to complex problems. This intern helps translate user needs into practical workflows, assists in designing innovative solutions, and ensures quality product releases. From optimizing the user experience, to gathering data with cutting-edge state-of-the-art equipment, and testing the newest product features. The Geomatics Test Engineer is a key contributor to the end-to-end hardware-software integration process.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities Include:
Providing survey and GIS knowledge to guide product developmentIdentifying workflows to provide the best user experienceTesting and ensuring the highest quality of the software solution to maintain customersatisfactionGathering data to support our new features and workflowsYour Background and Experience:
Pursuing a degree in Land Surveying or Geomatics EngineeringSurveying experience strongly preferredStrong computer skills, test design, Excel, database, networking, and experience withspatial databases (preferred)Experience with office/field survey workflows is preferred but not requiredGIS background and experience with GIS systems (Esri products, ArcGIS/ArcMap) a plusTrue team player, autonomous, reactive & proactive, motivated to work in an international environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAvailability for at least 12 monthsProduct Marketing Intern
