Primary Job Functions

:

Assist students with their computer needs and requirements. Maintains a consistent orderly environment in the computer lab. Assists students and teachers with materials and technology. Assists the Media Specialist as needed.

Salary Lane:

ASSTF + Media ADD-ON - Hourly pay starting at $18.69 commensurate with school experience.

Assigned Workday Calendar : 181 days (School Year Days)

Status:

Part-Time (29 Hours per Week)

Monday - Friday

Qualifications:Educational Requirements:

High school graduate required. Advanced work beyond high school is preferable.Skills and Knowledge:

Ability to communicate with and assist students and faculty. Flexibility in daily activities is extremely important. Knowledge of Microsoft word processing and data processing. Willingness to learn new technological skills is essential.Experience:

Previous office/computer experience is preferred.Certification:

None is required.Other:

Ability to maintain a positive relationship with pupils, staff, parents, and the community.Essential Functions

:

Help students with their computer needs and requirements.Process materials: computer software, Information File materialsHelp and supervise parent and student volunteers.Help students and teachers with the use of technology.Assist with special projects.Assist substitute teachers.Assist with inventory.Process letters, memos, purchase orders, newsletters, instructional materials.Assist with book repair.Create displays.Maintain and store equipment at the end of the school year.Return equipment to rooms at the first of the school year.Clean and do simple repairs on AV equipment (i.e. replace burned out lamp).Laminate materials for media center.Prepare monitor announcements in technology in absence of Media Specialist.Process AV order.Be an example of exemplary adult behavior for students.Project a genuine care and concern for all students.Participate in professional development, as assigned.Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance, vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
