Overview:
The Pharma Services Account Manager will grow revenue from CRO and internal lead generation opportunities by building relationships with key decision-makers, developing comprehensive proposals and delivering value propositions which result in the award of new contracts.This is a remote sales opportunity and will be 100% remote. Professional must reside in the US. This position will require up to 25% travel to client sites primarily in the Southwest/West Region.Responsibilities:Lead relationship with CRO partners by generating bids, managing status of all SOWs in account, supporting business strategy with each CRO, overseeing performance metricsFocus specific time on hunting CRO and small biotech / research companies to generate new businessCreate in-depth prospect profiles, build relationships with decision-makers, understand client needs, develop and present proposals to secure new business.Provide overall support to all accounts to ensure clients receive highest level of service during their on-boarding phase; transition to account manager and ensure an effective service transition.Develop and execute strategic plans by bringing together the key people, processes and functions to deliver unique solutions for individual health system opportunities.Engage with sales leaders, marketing and operations in developing market plans and value propositions for pharma and IVD customers.Maintain a sufficient pipeline of opportunities to ensure a close rate that achieves the annual goal.Stay abreast of changes in the marketplace impacting customers. Maintain a working knowledge of the company's differentiating products and those of the competitors.
Qualifications:Required Work Experience:5 - 10 years of successful experience in lab / pharmaceutical sales and or operationsPreferred Work Experience:3-5 years experience selling CRO servicesPhysical and Mental Requirements:Inquisitive, mental agility, problem solving applied learner. Strong ability to work with computers and computer systemsKnowledge:Strong knowledge of diagnostic testing business AND CRO/Contract research business including central laboratory.Skills:Sales, problem solver, relationship builder, business acumen, negotiationsEducation:Bachelors Degree(Required)Masters Degree
