Opening: RN Clinical Educator & Infection Control
Location: Long Term Care Facility Queens, NY
Pay: $95,000.00 – 120,000.00 per year
Responsibilities:
· Developing & implementing, evidence-based, quality education programs/activities to promote individual development, competency & delivery of high-quality clinical service.
· Collaborating with management, staff and external partners to assess, integrate, and evaluate educational needs & resources.
· Developing, reviewing & updating training manuals, policies/procedures, related job aides & clinical pathways.
· Educating staff in the clinical policies criteria and procedures.
· Providing an overview of the departments, general functions & responsibilities, as well as the relationships with other departments.
· Conducting new staff orientation, review of care management, intake, and utilization management activities & documentation.
· Planning, developing, evaluating and implementing educational programs and training activities based on assessed learning needs of the MLTC/Strategic clinical team.
· Providing consultation and education via orientation and Train the Trainer programs to the company’s strategic partners.
· Conducting quality review audits of clinical team and strategic partners to ensure that company protocols and standards are being met.
· Protects patients and employees by developing and interpreting infection-control policies and protocols; enforcing medication administration, storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
· Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by monitoring confidential information processing.
· Maintains documentation of patient care services by auditing patient and department records.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare or related field.
- Minimum five years’ clinical experience as a registered nurse.
- Must have an Active RN License in New York State
- Managed care case management experience working with dual eligible populations.
- CDC Certification required
- Experience in an Infection Control role is preferred, but not required.
