Job Description:
We are seeking a Sales Coordinator who is a dynamic leader who is results driven to lead our Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) for the prepared Foods Section in grocery stores. You would spearhead our food service account sales while acting as a brand ambassador for bridging cultures through food. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales management with an in-depth understanding of the CPG industry.
As the Sales Coordinator you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing and executing sales strategies, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders to maximize the presence and profitability of our products within grocery stores and food service sectors. Job Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy:
Develop a comprehensive sales strategy for retail and foodservice channels to drive revenue growth and market expansion.Implement metrics and KPIs to assess sales effectiveness and continuously optimize strategies.Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify opportunities and risks, adjusting strategies accordingly.
Business Development:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key accounts, retailers, foodservice operators, and distribution partners.Lead and oversee food service account sales, leveraging your deep understanding of the restaurant industry to identify new business opportunities.Develop and implement strategies to grow revenue in the food service sector, focusing on selling our bulk products to restaurants, caterers, cafes, and other hospitality establishments.Drive to approximately 5-10 stores or accounts daily to visit each account, engaging with purchasers and receivers at grocery stores, chefs and general managers at restaurants, and owners and operators at various types of businesses.
Sales Team Building:
Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team capable of innovative thinking for both retail and food service growth.Provide coaching and support to team members with a shared vision of sales strategies, fostering a high-performing culture that promotes accountability and excellence.
Performance Monitoring:
Implement a robust tracking system to monitor sales performance in both food service accounts and CPG grocery stores.Develop a comprehensive tracking system to reduce and maintain credits and waste in both programs.Analyze sales data regularly to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in each market.
Market Insights and Competitive Analysis:
Stay aware of industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitive activities in both the food service and retail sectors.Leverage market insights to anticipate changes and develop proactive strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaborations:
Work closely with various internal departments, such as the production team, marketing department, and product development team, to ensure alignment on sales objectives and strategies.Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing between the teams handling all aspects of both programs.
Financial Management:
Responsible for the sales budget and P&L to maximize profitability.Curate, develop, and achieve a detailed, challenging, but obtainable commission plan for the sales department.
Marketing Collaboration:
Align sales efforts with the marketing team and product launches.Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling sales material and product displays to attract and engage customers.Tailor approaches and promotional activities to effectively reach and engage customers in each market.
Requirements:3+ years of CPG and Food Service sales experience.Excellent professional presence and business acumen.Proven track record of success in sales management within the CPG industry.Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a sales team to achieve ambitious targets.Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to make informed business decisions.Proven experience in food service sales, with a strong network of contacts in the restaurant industry.Ability to balance the challenges and opportunities presented by each market and adapt strategies accordingly.Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills to effectively manage sales efforts in two distinct target markets simultaneously.Food service industry background (i.e; chef, cook, server) is highly preferred.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.Benefits:
