Administers intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to render persons insensible to pain during surgical procedures, obstetrical deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures. Potentially administers anesthesia to all ages and A.S.A. classes of patients, including geriatrics and pediatrics. Provides airway management services as needed throughout the hospital.

No night shifts but a mix of 8, 10, and 12 hr shifts. Limited weekend needs.

Provides airway management services as needed throughout the hospital.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.Graduation from an accredited school of anesthesia.Master's degree required.Ability to work harmoniously in collaborative situations with anesthesiologists and other health care providers.CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

Required and maintains currency of:Clinical PrivilegesState of Michigan RN LicenseState Specialty CertificationCRNA CertificationALS CertificationBLS CertificationMust meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors as outlined in the Henry Ford Health Customer Service Policy.PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Frequent walking, bending, lifting may be required to perform duties. Work is generally in an operating room environment, but can be in Radiology, ICU, ER, or wherever nurse anesthesia services are required in the hospital. Working conditions are variable with exposure to communicable diseases and other hazards. Driving may be required, dependent on specialty.Additional Information
