SummaryAs a
Senior Product Manager – Data Platform (DaaS) , you will transform our Data Platform. You will define and drive the technology strategy, in partnership with business leaders and key stakeholders across multiple business lines. The goal of the platform is to be a high-quality source of truth supporting all lines of business, enabling multiple applications, as well as reporting, analytics, and data science. You will manage the evolution of the platform as additional sources of data are required and technology components (e.g., machine learning) are matured.
As a key member of the Technology and Data team, you will partner with our Enterprise Architecture, Leasing Platform, Asset Management, and Financial Platform teams to create and operate an industry-leading Real Estate Technology platform.
ResponsibilitiesManage program and project teams to optimize delivery against resources across project initiatives.Work closely with project sponsors, project managers, and cross-functional teams to plan and deliver scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.Collaborate with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department.Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives.Contribute ideas to product development initiatives.Plan and manage product development stages.Collaborate with system engineers and software architects.Report product development progress to senior managers.Ensure that products are delivered on time and within budget.Oversee product deployment and integration.Diagnose and resolve technical issues.Evaluate product performance metrics and facilitate adjustments.Document processes and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Platform ManagementOversee the management and operation of the platform.Define the platform visions and roadmap.Maintain expert knowledge of Data products, services, and industry trends.Manage an ecosystem of applications to solve our business challenges and ensure the seamless flow of information throughout the platform.Engage with business stakeholders to create and manage a demand management process that equitably handles competing priorities across business teams.Define and manage OKRs that build confidence in the platform and ensure the platform meets the needs and goals of the business.
Stakeholder ManagementEngage with business leaders as their trusted advisor.Develop partnerships with key stakeholders and business owners across all components of the platform.Maintain collaborative relationships with the Technology and Product teams.
Project DeliveryOversee the development of business cases, user requirements, and project charters.Create and manage processes to prioritize projects, plan releases, and manage resources across a portfolio of projects.Create and manage processes for testing, release management, and change control.Manage communications with stakeholders, project team, and business and IT management.
Technology OperationsWork closely with Architects and the Analytics Team to ensure data models have been developed in accordance with business needs for use across multiple lines of business.Manage integrations with the Data Platform and external products and platforms.Work closely with data engineers to build data monitoring solutions to track errors, exceptions, and failures during data transport.Develop and manage metrics to ensure that the platform exceeds business expectations.
Skills we're seeking10+ years of IT Product and/or Program Management.Strong experience with managing the builds of new data platforms.Experience managing cloud-based projects, leveraging data warehouses such as Snowflake.Experience managing platforms to make it easy for other stakeholders to access.
