Work across many backend services which power subscriber experiences onsite and in native mobile apps.Write high-quality code with best practices and design patterns in mind and engage in code review/quality assurance.Work with your partners from different teams and disciplines to create a scalable experimentation and personalization architecture.Consult with your partners in Product to form sprint goals and break work into atomic units.Optimize the underlying AWS infrastructure for subscription services for performance and cost.Use your experience to help guide technical decisions and participate in technical architecture discussions.Requirements:
Employer will accept a master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field and two years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation.Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following:Using Java EE to write code that promotes code reuse;Writing unit, integration and end to end tests to ensure code quality;DevOps technologies: Docker, Jenkins, and AWS Products;MySQL, Oracle, and Splunk;At least one of the following applications: Wildfly, Glassfish, Tomcat;Web servers (httpd and Nginx); andJMS, ActiveMq, SQS/SNS (AWS).The base annual pay range for this position in Washington, D.C. is US $119,700.00 - $199,300.00. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.Contact:
